Lower Wekiva State Preserve
The Lower Wekiva Preserve offers 18 miles of multi use (hiking, biking & horseback riding) trails from the North Entrance. The 2.5 mile Sand Hill hiking trail is accessible from the SR 46 entrance.
Seminole State Forest
Across the river is the Seminole State Forest, which can be explored by hiking, cycling, or on horseback. Part of the Great Florida Birding Trail, Seminole State Forest also includes a 7.5-mile segment of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Additional primitive camping sites are available in the state forest during non-hunting periods.
